Dedication

Photographer Devan Kirk is my pandemic hero who took over 1,000 photos of this collection under the most unanticipated conditions possible. We started working together weeks before the pandemic hit, and then took a necessary break for everyone's safety. We resumed under carefully prescribed conditions in the summer of 2020 - doors and windows wide open, masks on tight, and a system we devised of staging photographs in one room and taking the photos in another. We were never is the same room at the same time!

Devan graduated from the University of Washington with honors in Photomedia Arts. He is now earning his Master's degree. Devan did the University of Washington track team proud as his 1:48.88 800m PB attests. And he earned numerous academic/athlete recognitions and would have earned even more if he hadn't graduated so early!
