Transition: Dellinger’s first home meet as University of Oregon Head Coach after Bowerman resigned to devote himself more fully to the rebuilding of the West Grandstand.

The meet highlight was the men's two-mile, in which Paul Geis made his Hayward Field debut as an ineligible transer.
