1976 Olympic Games Program – Closing Ceremony

A memorable ceremony featuring the then-unusual focus on Canada's Native Americans and their culture and history.

In spite of pleas from the announcer, fans spilled out of the stands onto the track at the end of the ceremony. 

It was truly a joyous and festive atmosphere.

I somehow made my way from the second level onto the stadium floor.

I weaved through the dense crowds while running a full lap on the track where Olympic history had just been made.
