My posse has been an important part of my track and field World Championships experience.
Tam and Pete from Ohio, Kevin and Mary from upstate New York, Bruce and Grace from Minnesota.
They and many more have been the group I've hung out with at fan festivals, watering holes, restaurants - and oh, yes - inside stadia around the world - long before I started covering these great championships.
