Al Hearvey was the star of the day with wins at 100y (9.6) and 220 y(20.9), and he anchored both relays to wins.

Pat Collins (OSU) won a tightly contested 880; he won in 1:49.5, with Steve Bence 2nd in 1:49.7, and Wes Smylie 3rd in 1:50.3.

Mac Wilkins and Gary Wolf had impressive discus throws with Wilkins 1st in 189-0 and Wolf not far behind at 181-1.

Tom Woods (OSU) won the high jump at 7-0, Jim Johnson (UW) the two-mile in a fine 8:47.2, and Gary Quitsland (UW) the javelin in 238-2.
