As John Conrad pointed out in the 3/23/75 Eugene Register Guard, it was a good day for the McChesney family as Tom won the collegiate steeplechase in 9:12.6, while high school senior Steve fininished 5th in the open 3-mile at 14:12.4.
Bob Martin won the 100y in 9.4w with Duran Wooten a close second in 9.5w.
Two notable splits in the distance medley relay:

Lars Kaupang's 4:09.5 mile
And in the two mile relay:
Steve Bence's 1:51.5 880y split.
In another deep three-mile in the spring of '75, Terry Williams (UO) won in 13:38.9, OTC's Jon Anderson was second in 13:40.1, and Gary Barger took third in 13:43.3.
Meanwhile, the program cover athletes justified their cover-thrower status: Howard Banich won the discus with his 174-10, while Dave Voorhees won the shot put with his 55' 9.5".
