Article on men's pole vault - World Record by Dave Roberts 18' 8 1/4"

I covered both of these events and wrote the 10k and PV event reports. A world record and a legendary 10,000m race on the same day - on a typewriter with an 8:00 pm deadline! I was handwriting the pole vault article while sitting in the stands as the 10,000m was taking place.
