1976 Olympic Games Program – Opening Ceremony

Queen Elizabeth 2 opened the Games.

An unexpected security measure was announcing that Opening Ceremonies would begin half an hour earlier than originally scheduled. 

Word on the street was that this was to get the crowd into the stadium in advance of Her Majesty, and to give Her Majesty aid and comfort in the face of so many plebeians.
