"Duckutized!"

In 2019 in Doha, I was fortunate enough to be on the bus to the media dinner with Weldon Johnson and Jonathan Gault of Let's Run.com. They are superstars of track and field journalism. 

They had just arrived after lengthy journeys.

When I went inside to the dinner, there were Shontz and her class.

I asked Weldon and Jonathan if they would be kind enough to meet with the class, and in spite of thunderous fatigue, they graciously agreed to do so. They spent ten minutes with the class, and an energetic and engaging discussion ensued.

The four students left the exchange inspired, and each has found work in the field.

I assisted with the class at various times during the championships, and Professor Shontz decided that instead of 'deputizing' me as a class assistant, she "Duckutized" me instead!

A high honor, indeed.
