Meryl Barker (OTC) won the women's mile in 4:48.7, with Janet Newman (OTC) 2nd in 5:40.8.

Bob Grubbs (UO) won the three-mile in 13:41.2, while OSU's Randy Brown was second in 13:46.8. Third was Russ Pate who went on to a distinguished career in sports physiology and exercise science.
Oregon State gave new meaning to the term sweep when it went 1-2-3-4 in the high jump, with Mike Fleer first in 7-0. Had they only given them a crossbar instead of a baton, they woulda won the high jump relay.
